Chief Warrant Officer 4, Stephen Martins, began his career in 1987 with the 215th Army Band. In 1990 he transferred to the United States Navy in which he served for 9 years on active duty. During his naval career, he was stationed at Navy Band San Diego, the Atlantic Fleet Band in Norfolk, Virginia, and Navy Band New Orleans. Chief Martins returned to Massachusetts and served 8 years on active duty in support of recruiting and operations before returning to the 215th Army Band.

Chief Martins is currently the VISN 1 Supervisor for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Performance Management.
